Our Story

About Lambda Upsilon Lambda

A legacy of hermandad, leadership, and service — built at Cornell, carried to Georgia Tech.

History

Our Founding

La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc. was founded on February 19, 1982, at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York — established with a vision to provide hermandad for Latino men rooted in academics, service, and cultura.

The Georgia Tech chapter — Alpha Sigma — has been a pillar of the Latino community on campus since 2004. Our hermanos have gone on to become leaders in engineering, business, medicine, and public service, carrying the values of La Unidad Latina with them.

Through every generation, the bond of hermandad endures — connecting alumni and active hermanos in a lifelong network of support, accountability, and shared purpose.
